Kartell KD28 Pre-Production Desk Lamp by Joe Colombo (Black)
Kartell KD28 pre-production desk lamp designed by Joe Colombo. Before this lamp went into production a few samples were made by hand. This super rare example is one of these handmade samples. They were hand carved from a special piece of Ebanil plastic. It was sanded down into it's iconic shape. The shade and lighting fixture is also different from the version that went into mass production. The bulb needs to be placed in the bottom of the shade instead of the side of the base. It's in great condition as can be seen in the pictures.
